Brown Lip Comparison & Swatch FT. Kylie Cosmetics, Mac, Kat Von D and More

I really think the brown lip trend is kinda coming to an end, but to be honest I am still really into it. It's flattering on my skin tone and it matches whatever I wear. It also makes me feel put together without having to wear a statement lipstick  (Not like there is much colour in my outfits anyways)

Heres the line up of the products :

Here are swatches to show every colour. They are not in the same order unfortunately but I have written which shade is which. What is your favourite shade?

 

Here I have actually ran my finger straight through the products about 15-20 minutes later as I wanted to give each product a chance because some of them take longer to set. So if you look closely you can see what shades did smudge

So I ran my finger straight through from bottom to top and I will run through the shades that smudged. Persistance, Nude Delight and Choker. Nude delight is not a matte shade, so I was expecting it would not hold up. Choker is a matte shade, but the formula is very creamy and it is not drying at all. I find after maybe a half hour that it will set, But not completely. And I am totally surprised that Persistance did not stand the test as I use to wear this shade through working and would have to re apply( But I talk a lot)

Lolita, Ginger and Bedtime flirt did not budge. I have worn all these shades so I can tell you the formulas are very long wearing. I am someone who is always "Playing" with my lips ( Licking, and bitting them... Sounds inappropriate, but its not!!) I do find Bedtime flirt to be drying, It also last the least amount of time out of these three. But it is also inexpensive so I do think its worth the length it stays on for. Ginger is somewhere in the middle. The formula is very thin, and its very skin like. Not super drying. On the other hand Lolita is creamy and long wearing. But I do not find it is as drying as the other mattes. Its formula (in terms of drying your lips out) is comparable to the Tarte Choker shade.

I hope this helps everyone out when you pick your next matte brown lips! I have tried more shades but these are my go to, everyday shades! Let me know if you'd like to see reviews on other shades or formulas. I usually go for a pink in the Spring/ Summer, so we will see.
