Wearing Winter Whites

Hello loves! I hope you're having a wonderful day! I recently have been using my blog as a way to share my more personal family type post- I just find it is a great way to sit down and really show you  a different side of me besides fashion. But today I am brining it back to the basics- Fashion & Style! yay!

One of my favorite ways to style myself is really in monochrome. Not really all black- but all white, nudes, creams, browns- All of those colours that most people would wear an entire outfit of- I love. SO one of my favorite plays on this is winter whites! I have shared a few winter white outfits over on my Instagram and you guys always love it! So I thought I would give some tips and tricks for how I style winter whites!

Textures:

Wearing all whites ( Specifically in the winter) can come across as very aggressive, to be fair, that is kinda the point. But I think that layering different textures makes it less like a white tuxedo and more chic! This skirt I am wearing has this interesting texture to it- honestly I cant even explain it but it is texture! So really pairing it with this fuzzy sherpa sweater is really playing around with textures which makes it super interesting to the eye. For me I think this is so important!

Adding in some colour:

Okay, I know, winter whites- Should be all white right?! Not necessarily. Should consist of mostly whites, but please don't limit yourself to that. In this look i pairs it with this mustard sweatshirt to break it up. This is a great play on whites especially if this is outside of your comfort zone. I think this outfit has a big impact without feeling over whelming!

Start small:

Fair enough to say that this is a loud way to dress and its really not for everyone, So try smaller pieces and find the right pieces for your wardrobe. buy something thrifted or at a lower price point before you splurge on an expensive coat! I think styling a white sweater or hoodie would be a great start- Paired with a lighter colour denim really will give you the idea without having to break the bank!

Use what you already have:

Spring and summer are usually when we wear a lot of whites and light colours. So try to make some of those pieces work for winter. Most of the pieces I use are actually from summer ( With a few layers underneath of course!) I have done that so I am trying out the trend without spending extra money before I know that I will continue to wear it. These trousers are from the spring- While this jacket and hoodie I have purchased this season!
