Tarte Tartelette In Bloom Palette Review

Hi! Hope you are all doing amazing. My little one is napping and the eldest one is with his Nana ( My mother) So I am doing my best to sneak in this post because then I will be able to sleep earlier tonight! Mom win!!!!

So this post is about one of my favorite purchases from the end of last year. And if you didn't get around to reading the title, it is my Tartelette in Bloom palette. I will start off by staying that I adore this. The colors are beautiful. There is a lot of matte shades, which I do prefer as I do not do a lot of shimmers day to day. I also find that mattes are more versatile as you can layer a shimmer or glitter on top to intensify a look. These are very neutral colors, with a good variety of dark and light tones. As well this is a cooler tone palette. These shadows are very long lasting as well.
I must also add that the scent to these shadows is wonderful. Like super sweet, like a vanilla cake straight out of the oven. Yeah, really that good. As well, I love the packaging. It is super feminine, but not too much. Its also very simple. I will talk a bit more about this in my monthly favorites which will be up by the end of the week!

I just have one tiny problem. I love this product and I use it anytime I do my makeup. I really do love it. But the matte shades are a bit chalky if not used correctly. As in, if you use it without any other makeup or try to pack it on all at once, you will not get the best results. These mattes are best used when they are built up. When I was swatching for this post, I was having a hard time getting it to work at all. I actually applied a bit of foundation to my arm and then I was able to get better results.
As you can see the matte shades are a bit chalky. They do apply better with a brush!
I hope you enjoyed this review! Let me know if you have tried this and what you think of it!Also let me know what eyeshadow palettes you have been liking!
