Skin Care Saviours

When it comes to skin care I feel like everyone is so different. everyones skin is so unique so the same mix of products doe not work for everyone. My sister and I like to share products, our skin is so different so we use things in different ways or things she loves to use, I might hate. That being said, winter in Canada is crazy. Its so crazy that I had to bite the bullet and buy a parka... and I despise them. But it gets so cold and obviously that takes a huge toll on your skin. So lets get into the products that have been saving my life ( Skin's life that is )

First is my St. Ives skin Scrub. This is a tried and true classic. I have been using this stuff since I was a wee little teenie bopper aka since High school. I use to get the one in the squeeze tube but I do not think they make that anymore. I believe this is the same. I like this version because I am also able to bring it into the shower and use it on my body. I think its great to use under your underarms to get any left over deodorant or whatever else could be left under there ( lol, just kidding). This is a fairly corse scrub so f your skin is extremely sensitive I wouldn't suggest this for you. But it works wonders on my skin which is combination.

It leaves my skin smooth and free of any dry patches. I do usually wipe my makeup off first, then use a gentle cleanser just to ensure I'm not scrubbing dirt and makeup back into my skin. Then a through rinse off and you're good to apply your serums, moisturizers, oils etc.

Next product is the Mabel + Meg Serum. This product is newer to my regime I originally was going to get it for my sister for Christmas and they had a deal for two, so I got them both! They are a more expensive product, but for a serum they are an okay price ( They run around $60 CAD including shipping) Firstly, I adore the packaging, super simple and pretty. And the dropper is great and makes the product easy to use. It is a hydrating serum that is great underneath my moisture or even on its own. I would compare it to the Hydroluron as it has similar properties, but the Mabel + Meg is defiantly more hydrating as well as more expensive. I do love this product but I do not know if i will repurchase it as its a bit inconvenient to order online, I much prefer being able to pick something up in store and have that instant satisfaction.

Last but not least is the Laneige Water Sleeping Mask. I got this will not an actual idea of how it was used. So when I got it home and had a look at the box, I realized it was an overnight mask to the point where you had to wash it off the next morning. Let me say I do not always do that because I can get a bit lazy. But either way this stuff is great! It is a thick gel texture that I was first worried about. I thought it would just sit on top of my skin and not really penetrate and hydrate my skin. But it really does! It makes my skin feel healthy and glowy after a long day of running errands and wearing makeup in this cold windy weather. I also adore the smell, it isn't a natural or herbal smell like I find a lot of skin care is ( Which I actually love) It is a more floral feminine scent which is very refreshing.

So there it is, thats a round up of my skin care saviours for this winter! Let me know what you think and what products you have been loving recently. I'm on the hunt for a new camera as the one I am currently using isn't that great and I can not shoot a video on it. Let me know if you have any recommendations!
